Kerala’s beggars: God’s own hand!

The removal of beggars must be followed by proper rehabilitation As Kneel Alm’strong would have said: This is one small beg for me, a giant weep for mankind! Without argument, for a nation, a society, and mankind, the presence of even one beggar is killing evidence of the ineptness of social orientation of the fabric of economic development. Well, standing true to its ‘most literate state’ status within the country, Kerala seems to be learning too well. After an year-long campaign, Thiruvananthapuram has now become the first beggar- free city in India.

Cardinal Health loses some weight

Cardinal Health has announced to sell its Pharmaceutical Technologies and Services (PTS) unit to the Blackstone Group for approximately $3.3 billion. As a part of the deal, Blackstone would take over the PTS businesses of Cardinal that develop and manufacture package medication and other pharma products. Cardinal, the leading provider of the products and services supporting the health care industry, unleashed its plans to divest the segment to utilise its resources. The money generated from the proceeding would then be utilised to repurchase the shares of Cardinal Health.
