Back to the future?

Despite India’s share in the network’s revenues going up, there is still a long way to go. “Even now the agency share is 10% – Rs.150 billion. It might be equal to or more than the turnover of a real-estate company in Bombay. But with the MNCs coming in, it’s changing, 5 years from now, it might be Rs.400- 500 billion,” says a John. All (almost!) agencies (with global footprints), part of six global networks, already have a good grip over India. Among the very few that don’t have a presence are Arnold Worldwide (part of Havas) and some others which mainly operate in the US (like Fallon), or in specific, regions.
